Waitlist Data Collection
During our pre-launch waitlist phase, we collect the following information when you join the waitlist:
- Name - to personalize communications
- Phone Number - to contact you about platform updates and launch
- Role - to understand whether you are a Property Owner, Tradesman, Renter, or Other
- Timestamp - to track when you joined
We also use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection to prevent spam submissions, and we log submission attempts for security and rate limiting purposes. This data is used solely to manage the waitlist and communicate with you about our launch.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Crewa, Inc. ("Crewa," "we," "our," or "us"), a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application, website at joincrewa.com, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Full name and phone number when joining the waitlist or creating an account
- Role identification: Property Owner, Tradesman, or Other
- Government-issued identification documents submitted for identity verification through our provider Didit
- Profile information including trade specializations, work history, certifications, and profile photos
- Job postings including descriptions, photos, location details, and pricing
- In-app messages and communications between users
- Payment and billing information for tradesmen subscription services
- Photos of completed work or job sites that you upload to your profile
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- General location data including city, zip code, and state to facilitate local job matching
- Device information including device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers
- IP address and network information
- Usage data including features accessed, pages visited, and time spent on the platform
- Log data including error reports and crash analytics
- Security and bot protection data through Cloudflare Turnstile

- Identity verification results and status from Didit
- Payment processing confirmations from our billing provider
- Security and bot protection data from Cloudflare Turnstile
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Creating and managing your account and profile
- Connecting property owners with verified tradesmen based on location and trade category
- Verifying user identities through Didit to maintain platform safety
- Processing subscription payments and managing billing for tradesmen accounts
- Facilitating in-app communications between users
- Moderating content using automated tools powered by OpenAI API to detect policy violations
- Sending platform notifications, service updates, and important account communications
- Improving, personalizing, and developing our platform and features
- Detecting, preventing, and investigating fraud, abuse, harassment, and violations of our Terms of Service
- Complying with applicable laws and legal obligations
- Responding to user support requests and resolving disputes
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With other users as necessary to facilitate job connections. When a connection is made, relevant profile information including name, verified status, ratings, and trade specializations may be visible to the other party.
- With Didit for identity verification processing
- With our payment processor to handle tradesmen subscription billing or any user's post boosting billing
- With Google Cloud for infrastructure, APIs, and data services
- With Supabase as our backend database provider for secure data storage
- With OpenAI API for content moderation purposes only. Content submitted for moderation is not used to train AI models.
- With Cloudflare for security, bot protection, and performance services
- With law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect the safety of our users
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, with appropriate notice to users
5. Location Data
We collect general location information including city, zip code, and state to match property owners with nearby tradesmen. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates without your explicit consent. You may update your location preferences at any time within the app settings.
6. Identity Verification Data
When you submit government-issued identification for verification, that data is processed by Didit, our third-party identity verification provider. Crewa receives only a verification result indicating whether your identity was successfully confirmed. We do not store copies of your government ID documents on our servers. Please review Didit's privacy policy for information on how they handle your identification data.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our Services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information including encrypted data storage through Supabase, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, bot and fraud protection through Cloudflare Turnstile, and access controls limiting who can view personal data internally. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. You may also opt out of non-essential communications and request a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@joincrewa.com.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and through in-app notification. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
